Dementia Inclusive Training

Register for the Dementia Inclusive Training at the Renfrew Public Library, Saturday February 11th, 1:30 to 2:30 PM.

Our population is aging and as a result the incidence of dementia is increasing. Currently in Ottawa and the surrounding area there are more than 24,000 people living with dementia and this number is expected to double by 2030. Learn about the different types of dementia, how to spot warning signs, communication tips , environmental considerations and dementia prevention. Presented by The Dementia Society Ottawa and Renfrew County.

Membership to the Renfrew Public Library is free to all residents and taxpayers in the Town of Renfrew and Horton. Non-residents may choose to pay $55.00 for an individual 12-month membership or $28.00 for a 6-month indivudal membership. Family memberships may also be purchased for $70.00 for 12-months or $36.00 for 6 months. Residents of McNab/Braeside and Admaston/Bromley : Your municipalities may reimburse all or part of your membership cost. Please contact your municipality for information.
